Landon Penfield is a 2024 3B/RHP, 1B with a 6-1 183 lb. frame from Blythewood, SC who attends Blythewood. Recorded a 7.44 second 60-yard dash time. Primary third baseman with good hands and a clean release on throws up to 81 mph across. Easy and under control actions with solid footwork at both corner infield positions. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a three-pitch mix and feel to command all three. Fastball up to 81 mph with an open landing front side getting down the slope. Curveball and changeup round out the mix with developing movement and change of speeds. Showed finish to all of his pitches with ability to repeat delivery. Left-handed hitter with a slightly open front side and bat wiggle trigger. Closes off front side during stride with easy swing through the zone. Solid rhythm and timing in the box with projectable impact in the future. Swing path works to all fields with present pull side gap power. Good Student. Named to the National Underclass Showcase- Main Event Top Prospect List.
