William Burgess is a 2022 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-3 165 lb. frame from Ashton, MD who attends Georgetown Prep. Long and lean young pitcher's build with lots of room to fill out and get stronger. High leg raise delivery with an over the top arm slot, has good arm speed, repeats his mechanics well. Fastball topped out at 83 mph, plenty more there as he gets stronger, has very good feel for the strike zone with his fastball, fastball has some late life, mostly cutting action, hides the ball well in back and his fastball velocity plays up to hitters. Threw both a curveball and slider and both were quality pitches with good separation and feel. Curveball had good downer depth and spin, slider was late biting from a well tunneled slot with his fastball. Left handed hitter, hits from an open start with a low hand load, pretty short and quick to the ball with good barrel control. 7.04 runner. Excellent student.
