Ethan Snyder is a 2023 OF/RHP/SS with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Syracuse, NY who attends Marcellus. Recorded a 4.90 second forty-yard dash time. Tall, slender frame with long levers and plenty of room to fill out. Primary outfielder, aggressive approach, quick to the ball, two hands to field; uses clean gather to transition smoothly into an over-the-top arm slot, recorded arm strength up to 81 mph during drills, accurate with good present carry to the bags. Secondary right-handed pitcher; abbreviated start with side-step rocker into a high leg lift, pause at the top of balance and shorter stride out to foot strike. Fastball worked in the mid-to-upper 70s from an over-the-top arm slot, flashing some life through the top of the zone. Proficient strike thrower with simple, repeatable mechanics and good command of the strike zone. Mixed in developing breaking ball that varied in shape, while exhibiting loose spin traits that will improve with added arm speed. Right-handed hitter that hits from a closed stance with a exaggerated low hand set and leg lift trigger. Incorporates deep hand load and slight drift to get to launch. Displayed consistent bat-to-ball skills with downward swing plane and some quickness to his hands. Middle-to-opposite field approach due to length and direction of swing path, while occasionally impacting the baseball on a line to right centerfield. Will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Excellent Student.
