Sebastian Ortiz is a 2023 SS/2B with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Norwood, MA who attends Xaverian Brothers HS. Recorded a 7.20 second 60-yard dash time. Medium frame with a wiry build and room to add strength. Primary shortstop with a compact arm stroke and an over the top arm slot. Soft hands to either side and has a quick arm. Good athleticism with throws recorded up to 77 mph across the diamond. Righthanded hitter with a wide base, high hand set, and a high back elbow. Level swing plane and gets his hands out nicely. Short and simple swing with a small stride forward and can repeat well. Good balance and looks to pull the ball. Has some lift to his swing and projects for additional power as he fills out. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
