Brice Smith is a 2023 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-2 160 lb. frame from Santa Fe, TX who attends Santa Fe. Long, lean frame with highly-projectable build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.14 seconds. Primary lefthanded pitcher, high front side through delivery, high 3/4 slot release, length to arm stroke but times up well, fastball worked 75-79 mph and peaked at 80, moves fastball around and misses barrels with it, 1/7-shaped curveball with quality depth, intriguing upside on the mound. Hits from spread stance with middle field approach, long stride that gets drifty onto front side, shows solid contact skills. Solid athleticism around the bag at 1B, clean hands, 80 mph across the diamond; also threw 80 mph from the outfield. Named to 2020 National Underclass South Top Prospect List. Excellent student.
