Alberto Sanchez is a 2025 SS/RHP/OF with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Cypress Creek. Lean athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. 6.97 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense with quick feet. Moves well to the ball with footwork and lateral range. Clean low slot throws from a quick transfer and release. Athletic mover with good hands and adjusts his glove well. Good to his backhand. Clean 2 hand gather and funnel to chest working up the middle. Fluid actions all around and gets it out quick. Looked best on the infield and was up to 82 from there. Played OF as well and was up to 85 from there. Quick to the ball working through it a good bit. Throws were accurate with carry. Also pitched throwing from a mid 3/4 slot working fast with tempo. Showed good confidence and poise out there. Fastball worked up to 83 with late life and gets in quick. Went to a short slider with 2-plane break. Right-handed hitter with a narrow upright base. Small leg lift and stride into contact with bat speed being very present. Stays short and compact through the zone and controls the barrel well with impact to all fields. Contact gap to gap approach with speed out of the box. Hands work well with rhythm. Some twitch to the swing as well and just an athlete in the box. Good student. Named to the Lone Star Showcase Top Prospect List.
