Jayce Lacava is a 2023 SS/OF with a 6-0 198 lb. frame from Marrero, LA who attends Archbishop Shaw. Medium frame with an already filling out build as he proved to have strength throughout the frame. Ran a 6.99 second sixty yard dash. Primary Shortstop, sitting back on the baseball and then works with long strides to the baseball. Late glove flip as he scoops the baseball up and then shuffles into transfers. Threw it 76 mph during drills. Secondary Outfielder, sitting back on it before he works into the baseball. Slows down momentum after gather. Accurate throws to the bag as he threw it 78 mph during drills. Right-Handed Hitter, starting spread out and open with high hands. Higher leg lift to stride as he keeps weight on backside upon landing. Found barrels consistently as he drove it back up the middle. Proved he could impact the baseball out front. Outstanding Student.
