Matt Heflin is a 2024 RHP/OF with a 6-2 155 lb. frame from Knoxville, TN who attends Knoxville Catholic. Long and lean build, high-waisted frame, body projects very well. Primary right-handed pitcher with a long and loose arm stroke, shows advanced arm speed with looseness and fluidity throughout. Slightly extended three-quarters slot, works with great tempo. Struggles to repeat the release at times and will miss arm side when he does, but the arm speed and action are extremely projectable. Fastball has sink and some arm side run action to it, shows a changeup with similar action. Nice looking curveball with vertical movement, gets 11-5 shape at times. Will improve with added polish and command. Exciting long-term prospect with all the intangibles and pieces. Named to the 2020 National Underclass Showcase- Main Event Top Prospect List.
