Baron Cribbs is a 2023 C/RHP/MIF with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Dunlap, TN who attends Sequatchie County. Slender young athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. 7.18 runner in the sixty. Has quick and athletic actions behind the plate defensively, enthusiastic blocker who gets in front of the ball, receives the ball with confidence, has some arm strength and makes accurate throws, game actions in drills, projects well defensively. Plenty athletic enough to be a primary infielder as well, works through the ball with good footwork and balance, quick and compact release and makes accurate throws with good carry. Type of athlete who can play all over the field. Right handed hitter, has a simple load and trigger and a short high contact line drive swing, fires his hands well with middle of the field line drive contact. Also pitched, has a compact 3/4's catcher's arm action, short stride out front, works quickly and is aggressive on the mound. Fastball topped out at 81 mph, relied heavily on a slurve type slider that had good bite and depth at times. Good athlete who will keep improving as he gains strength. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
