Ryan Garcia is a 2027 SS/RHP/3B with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Baytown, TX who attends Barbers Hill. Features a medium sized build with some sneaky strength and quality present athleticism. Ran a 6.90 60-yd dash. At SS, showed some feel for the position with some strong actions. Noticeably light on his feet that play through it well while getting body set into good posture. Glove displays early where he shows softness at reception with a clean funnel/exchange. Extra shuffle with intent to show off the arm during his defensive workout which he did running it up to 90 across within a shorter/compact arm action. At the plate, sits in a medium base that is slightly open. Initiates early using a smaller/hanging lift trigger. Drops hands/barrel into launch where his path worked more flat-to-uphill through. Some inconsistent timing but flashed above avg. bat speed for his level and some jump off the barrel when he caught it out front. Balanced throughout the swing. Barreled one hard back up the box during gameplay. Good student. Named to the High School All-State Select Championship Top Prospect List.
