Chase Blair is a 2022 MIF/OF with a 5-7 170 lb. frame from Saint Louis, MO who attends Chaminade College Prep. Medium developing build that stands to improve as he continues to progress. Primary infielder, good footwork, gets around the ball and carries his momentum to the first base bag. Glove works well out in front, moves well into the hole as well as up the middle. Clean transfer, looks to get rid of it quickly. Accurate throws across the diamond. At the plate, uses an upright and even stance with a low leg lift trigger. Heavy bat wag, raw hit tool with a ton of bat speed through the zone. Short and direct, at his best when working through the middle of the field. Ability to put a charge into balls when on time and flat through the zone. Good student in the classroom as well.
