Perry Freeman is a 2024 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-1 171 lb. frame from Sandy Springs, GA who attends Riverwood. Leaner body right now with room to add muscle in both halves of his body. Ran a 7.77 60-yard dash. Primary left-handed pitcher, works off the third base side of the rubber, side step to belt high lift, medium arm swing before coming through the three-quarters slot, solid fundamental base here and gets down the slope well, filled up the zone and generated lots of weak contact with his mix, touched 74-mph and worked it all over, dropped 12/6 curveball in mid 50s with a nice fading change to round off the arsenal. Secondary first baseman, stays back on the baseball in reps, accurate around the bag and looked good on the turn, similar fundamental actions here. Took reps in the outfield, slower one hand gather off to the side, long circular arm motion in the back, fundamental footwork out here in the grass, some tail on throws that produced some carry to the bag. Switch hitter but took reps strictly from the right side, slightly open and even base, short heel lift trigger with a hanging stride, gets into the back hip some, worked the middle to pull-side of the field with a line drive approach. Overall addition of strength will greatly benefit the overall package, has a solid fundamental understanding of the game. Great student.
