Donatello Badalamenti is a 2024 RHP/C, 1B, 3B with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Abrams, WI who attends Pulaski. Medium frame with an athletic build and beginnings of strength. Primary right handed pitcher with a simple side step to medium leg lift delivery. Stays tall on back side at gather and works to the plate with drop and drive actions. Compact arm circle at take back and released from a compact three-quarters slot. Fastball came out of hand cleanly producing some downhill plane through the zone in the mid 70's, topped at 77 mph. Curveball showed 10/5 shape with looser spin and shorter depth in the low 70's. Consistently located each offering to the bottom of the zone with developing feel for the edges. From behind the plate showed a balanced stance while receiving. Gains some ground while working out of crouched with smooth paced footwork. Extended glove circle at exchange and released from a three-quarters slot topping at 70 mph, best workout pop time of 2.13. Also worked out defensively from the infield showing tentative footwork while rounding the baseball. Funnels out front and worked through exchange efficiently. Flashed some range to glove side. Released from a three-quarters slot created some on line carry to the bag at 75 mph. Right handed hitter with a crouched, even stance and simple leg lift trigger. Created some linear shift into contact with lower half. Compact path to baseball with a line drive barrel plane through extension. Primarily looked to drive the ball to the middle of the field and pull side gap.
