Miguel Rivera is a 2021 C with a 5-7 150 lb. frame from Kissimmee, FL who attends Sunshine Academy. Medium frame with a young, lean build. Ran a 7.25 second sixty yard dash. Primary Catcher, sitting up in his stance as he was athletic in his actions. Received the baseball out front with a reach and then worked quickly into transfers. Compact arm action as he released with urgency. Accurate to the bag as he recorded a pop time of 2.01 seconds. Instincts present behind the dish and will make big strides with a strength gain. Right-Handed Hitter, starting open and narrow in the stance. Smaller leg lift to stride as he creates separation. Linear swing path as he looked to drive it back up the middle of the field. Found barrels consistently & again, will make big strides with strength gain as the swing is fundamentally sound. Good Student.
