Joshua Jones is a 2025 C/OF with a 5-4 135 lb. frame from Humble, TX who attends Atascocita. Smaller build, has room to add strength and develop some bounce to his game. Primary catcher, showed some glove skill behind the plate when he receives it soft, transfer mechanics and short arm action are unestablished but has time to put the pieces together. There is some intent to get the lower half involved, this will improve as the physicality matures. Has an idea for the position just looking for some quick-twitch reactions. In the outfield, showed some young tendencies but takes good routes to the ball and has some field awareness. Makes the glove and gather work when he creates a fluid motion, gets vertical on the throws and releases under the ball. Right handed hitter, learning some barrel control and finding his swing. Uses a soft leg lift trigger that shows some feel for timing and has a linear swing path.
