Nelson Ward is a 2011 MIF with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Lassiter HS. Wiry strong athletic body. Didn't run 60 but 6.58/6.62 earlier this year, very good runner. Outstanding defensive player, moves easy side to side, smooth and balanced at the ball, fundamentally sound footwork, quick soft hands, plenty of arm strength, polished overall actions. Left handed hitter, quiet approach, quick hands to the ball, line drive swing, best contact when hitting to mid field, tends to hit around ball at times, aggressive baserunner who uses his speed well. Good student.
