Jaxon Collins is a 2027 OF/RHP/IF with a 5-10 140 lb. frame from Nederland, TX who attends Nederland. Features a medium-sized wiry build with plenty of room/time to add. Ran a 7.60 60-yd dash. In the OF, showed a decent first step and worked with momentum through reception. Got down a tad late at times with posture/glove but reception was consistently clean and out front. Extra shuffle before working to release. Some looseness to the arm that got off some uphill/accurate throws with avg. strength for his level. In the INF, showed feel for how to move on the dirt. Light feet moved through the ball with a glove that worked clean to both sides. Quality transfer working with decent quickness to release. Lower slot on most of his throws that were accrurate across. At the plate, sits in a wider base and uses a simple toe tap trigger. Smaller takeback of hands but they do create some separation at launch. Path showed more direct at entry but leveled out into contact. Avg. bat speed and feel for the barrel. Some trouble at deeper contact points but produced solid middle of the field barrels when he caught it out front. On the mound, used a simple operation. Side steps into a mid-chest knee lift and uses a slower drop in driveleg as he works down the mound. Lands on-line with a smaller stride and taller finish. Out the glove his arm worked loose within a medium circle and got up to a higher 3/4 slot. He ran his fastball up to 80 showing some standard 4S shape and mixed in a low 70s SL he had a ton of confidence in going to it at a high rate and landing it for strikes.
