2023 California Workout Showcase (Saturday)
Ethan Monroe is a 2023 OF/UT with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Corona, CA who attends Santiago. He has a good frame with an athletic build and present strength. Ran the sixty yard dash in 6.84 seconds. Primary outfielder that attacks the ball and fields it out in front of his body. He does a nice job of transferring it cleanly to his throwing hand and makes strong, accurate throws to the base. He is able to generate carry on his throws. Offensively, he starts in a wider base with a high back elbow and a flat bat. He uses a leg lift trigger for timing and has plenty of rhythm in his short, compact swing. He does a nice job of getting extended out in front of the plate and making hard contact to all parts of the field. He showed plenty of power potential, especially to the pull side. Outstanding student. Named to the 2023 California Workout Showcase (Saturday) Top Prospect List.
