2023 WWBA Underclass Workout Showcase (Sept 27)
Julian Alber is a 2026 SS/MIF with a 5-9 130 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Belen Jesuit Prep. Young, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean build, room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.19 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, shows an understanding with footwork and takes nice angles to the ball, fields the ball out front with two hands, works into a fuller arm action with a higher release point, shows accuracy on throws across diamond, maintained balance on the charge play. Right-handed hitter, begins with an open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; does a nice job of staying direct and able to pull the hands inside, creates extension out front. Shows quickness to hands, impacts to pull side well and did a nice job of remaining on plane, projects well with added strength. Excellent student.
