Jett Durrett is a 2027 SS/RHP/2B with a 6-0 155 lb. frame from Huffman, TX who attends Hargrave. Primary SS with a lean and athletic frame. Showed good lateral range and works around the ball well. Gets glove down early with a clean 2-hand gather and funnel to chest. Showed good tempo with the footwork getting to the ball taking good angles. Showed a clean slot change and got it out quick with a quick transfer and release. Fluid motions all around from the infield. Was up to 83 from across the diamond. Also ran a 6.95 sixty. Also pitched and works inline well with some drive off his back leg. High leg kick into working downhill. Fastball worked up to 78 and located well within the zone. Worked ahead and filled up the zone. Slider showed good bite and produced weak contact. Right-handed hitter with a wide base and balanced stance. Rocks the weight to the backside well with a clean weight transfer. Fires the barrel through the zone with a short and simple swing. Showed good strength at impact with feel for the barrel. No real stride into contact. Showed good bat to ball skills overall in the box and projects for more as he continues to fill out. Good Student. Named to the South-Central High School All State Game TP List.
