Dylan Hunter Tatum is a 2023 LHP/1B with a 5-11 210 lb. frame from Clarkesville, GA who attends Habersham Central. Big and physical build. Primary left handed pitcher, has a two-piece delivery with an arm hesitation in back that creates deception, times and repeats it well, extended 3/4's arm slot, short stride out front, works quickly. Fastball worked in the mid-70's, worked consistently at the knees and filled up the strike zone, especially from the wind up. Secondary pitch was a curveball that showed occasional sweeping depth. Number of strikes was a plus. Left handed hitter, starts his swing with a big shoulder turn, aggressive rotational swing, attacked balls in the game and made consistent hard pull side contact with some jump off the barrel. Graded out higher as a hitter at this event than pitcher. 8.10 runner who plays first base when not on the mound. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
