Jose M Colon is a 2021 OF/ with a 6-0 151 lb. frame from Salinas, PR who attends Puerto Rico Baseball Academy. Large frame with a lean build showing room to fill out physically. Ran a 7.00 second sixty yard dash. Primary Outfielder, good first step instincts as he flashed range while working into the baseball smoothly. Gathers to the side before slowing momentum down to make sure of a clean transfer. Full arm action as he released with intent. Accurate to the bag as he threw it 82 mph during drills. Instincts showing in the outfield and projects well here going forward. Right-Handed Hitter, starting with pinched knees and slightly open with the front side. Creates separation before striding out and landing in a balanced hitting position. Fires hips and then flashed a linear swing path. Feel for the barrel present as he drove it to all fields. Impacts out front and proved he could find the barrel consistently. Outstanding Student.
