Brodi Lucas is a 2022 RHP/C with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Calimesa, CA who attends Yucaipa. He has a good frame with present strength and room to add more muscle. Ran the sixty yard dash in 7.53 seconds. Primary pitcher that utilizes a knee to belt leg kick and strides down the mound well. He drifts on his delivery and lands closed off, causing him to throw across his body. He is able to generate consistent running movement with his fastball. His best secondary pitch was his slider that had sweeping movement and featured some bite to it. His curveball is a slow, looping curveball that is considerably slower than his fastball. Secondary catcher that covers ground towards second well. Strong arm that has some carry to the base. Offensively, he starts in an upright and open stance. He uses a simple load and stride, and shifts his weight through the swing well. Has an up the middle approach with an uppercut swing trying to generate hard contact in the air. Excellent student.
