Carter Boone is a 2023 RHP/1B, 3B with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Gilbert, AZ who attends Basha HS. Recorded a 7.16 second 60-yard dash time. Athletic frame with a high waist and lots of room to fill out. Primary right-handed pitcher with a turn step into a leg lift at the belt. Easy release and low effort operation overall. Shorter arm action with a slight hip turn at the top of the delivery. Cuts the arm across at times and the fastball topped out at 83 mph. Gets on top of the fastball and leverages low at the zone. Athleticism is evident in the delivery. Fields position well. Landed a changeup and also showed both a curveball and a cutter. Arm strength plays well from secondary position of first base. Right-handed hitter with an upper half dominant swing. Stays inside the ball and shows some hand strength. Ball comes off the barrel well and can get the bat head out to drive the ball. Excellent impact strength too. Great student. Named to the National Academic TP List.
