Vincent Perez is a 2024 3B/RHP, 2B, OF with a 5-9 190 lb. frame from Fort Worth, TX who attends Keller Central. Recorded a 7.84 second sixty yard dash time. Large frame with a thick and stocky build. Primary third baseman with a passive approach and young catch and throw skills at present, shows segmented actions with developing feel for the glove. At his best when moving up the middle, will improve as he plays through the ball and keeps his feet moving throughout. Also worked out in the outfield, showed an aggressive approach to the ball and fields out front. High effort thrower with a short arm action, throws from the ear. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a simple stretch operation, utilizes a medium leg lift and engages the back side well. Compact arm action, comes from a three-quarters slot, repeats well and filled up the zone with both the fastball and curveball. Flashed some arm side run to the fastball, created good downhill action and had feel for the zone on both sides. Right-handed hitter with a deep hand set and a leg lift trigger, barrel tends to get lost in the back at times. Smooth operation overall and can impact the ball to pull when on time, did not find the barrel consistently in this look. Has some loft to the swing, keeps good path when staying connected, good chance to improve moving forward. Great student.
