Charlie Bergin is a 2023 C/1B, 3B with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Clarendon Hills, IL who attends Hinsdale Central. He has a tall frame with a thick build. Ran the sixty yard dash in 7.90 seconds. Primary catcher that covers ground towards second on his throws well. He starts with an open stance and stands on his throws. He could improve on his already impressive 1.94 second pop time by staying low and consistently clearing his back side on his throws. Right-handed hitter that starts in an open stance that is slightly narrow and a high back elbow. He uses a leg lift trigger and does a nice job of shifting into his back hip. He has a rotational swing and showed pop to the pull side when he hits the ball out front. His barrel is heavy through the zone creating nice contact. Good student.
