Luke Burns is a 2023 OF/RHP, 1B with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Ellisville, MO who attends Desmet. Recorded a 7.41 second 60 yard dash time. Primary outfielder with a compact build and a long arm action with plunge in the back, developing arm speed and twitch. Fields it cleanly and stays balanced, will improve as he stays directional towards the target and continues to develop physically. Recorded throws at 79 mph. Right-handed hitter with an even base and high hand and back elbow set. Leg lift trigger, shows quality bat speed and the ability to create lift. Ball jumps off the bat to his pull side, can get rotational and cut himself off at times. Connected for solid contact throughout the round, will improve as he gets the barrel in the zone earlier for added bat speed and adjustability. Excellent student.
