2021 New England Indoor Showcase (Saturday)
Enger Paulino is a 2022 OF/UT with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Worcester, MA. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and present physical strength proportioned throughout. Ran a 7.45 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, takes short steps on approach to the ball, fields it out front and repeats actions, works through the ball, shorter arm action through the back with nice carry and present arm strength on throws, will continue to refine consistency of overall actions. Right-handed hitter, begins with square stance in the box and utilizes a high leg lift trigger for timing at the plate. Long swing path through the zone, incorporates strength well and creates present bat speed through the zone. Occasionally mistimed with leg lift trigger but shows jump off of the barrel when squared and extended out front, swings with intent. Very good student.
