Landon Bruns is a 2027 1B/RHP/3B/OF with a 6-4 172 lb. frame from Conroe, TX who attends Conroe. Primary CIF with a lean long limbed athletic build with lots of room to continue to get stronger. Gets to the ball well for his size and fields it cleanly to his backhand. Showed some lateral range overall with a strong arm. Was up to 86 from across the diamond and profiles well on the corner. Also played first moving comfortably around the bag. Is longer to get it out but showed a strong arm with max effort. Also played outfield; throws had good carry behind them with accuracy. Also pitched throwing from a high 3/4 slot with a quick arm coming half circle with the action. Works downhill and inline well with a slow and in control delivery. Located his fastball well and could fill up the zone. Fastball worked up to 82 and played firm but got in quick. Showed good bit to his slider with some sweep as well. Release point was inconsistent at times but has an idea and projects to be more consistent. Right handed hitter with a balanced upright b ase. Sinks into his lower half well on the weight transfer and uses a small stride into contact. Showed good bat speed and was able to get on plane consistently with a level swing. Ball carries off his bat nearly going yard during his round of BP. Creates leverage and could really impact it to pull firing off his backside well. Excellent student. Named to the National South Showcase Top Prospect List.
