Luke Shelhamer is a 2026 C/SS with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Palm Beach Gardens, FL who attends The King's Academy. Medium, athletic frame with present strength proportioned throughout. Ran a 7.26 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, lower set up with one knee down to start in drills, receives the ball out front, quicker transfer into a short arm action, shows some present carry on throws, can refine and implement additional lower half into release. Moves well in the infield as well, quickness to feet and hands work out front, similar arm action/release on throws across diamond, gets it out quick, accurate to first base. Right-handed hitter, begins with a medium and even base in the box, utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing at the plate. Repeats swing well and shows present fundamentals, strength in hands helps for impact off of the barrel; 94 mph in exit velocity testing. Consistent barrels with hard line drive carry to the middle of the field. Good student.
