Jayden Thacker is a 2027 SS/RHP, IF, OF, UT with a 5-4 125 lb. frame from Vincennes, IN. Jayden is an emerging young athlete who shows a positive approach and unquestioned enthusiasm for the game. He ran an 8.93 60-yard dash. A primary infielder, Jayden is quick to position and has a certain feel with the glove. He plays through the fielding action well and transitions with routine effort. He transitions well and his 56-mph throws are consistently on target. Jayden also worked off the mound. He pitches exclusively from the stretch and works down the slope well. He is a strike thrower. He has a three-pitch mix that he works admirably around the strike zone. His 54-57 mph fastball with confidence to both sides of the plate. He compliments his FB with a 47-mph curveball that shows the makings of being a solid pitch as he gets a bit stronger. His 46-mph knuckleball is a solid pitch, especially for his age group. It does have some dance component and is thrown with little effort and is always around the plate. Jayden shows a solid approach at the plate. His swing is a more rotational operation. He keeps his hands inside the ball well and his bat path is more up the middle and opposite field oriented. His contact first, flat path approach is admirable and will only improve as he gains strength and physical maturity. Jayden is a promising player who should continue to improve his skill set as he moves through the next few years of his career. His fundamental foundation is strong and his obvious passion for the game is commendable.
