Fernando Palomares is a 2025 SS/3B with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Spring, TX who attends Grand Oaks. Primary SS with a bigger frame and strong lower half. Fields it cleanly out front with a one hand gather and funnel to chest. Gets it out quick from a low slot and could make the plays. Profiles more so on the corner with a strong arm. Was up to 81 from the infield. Also pitched throwing from a high 3/4 slot with shorter arm action. Fastball worked up to 80 and was able to locate it well showing good feel to really pitch. Went to a slider with late depth and could drop it in at times. Right-handed hitter with a balanced base. Uses a small leg lift and stride into contact for timing. Hands rear back on the load and rotates hard at the top half of things clearing the hips well. Was able to impact it hard to pull while getting into his lower half. Creates space and gets good separation in his swing allowing him to get on plane and launch the ball. Should continue to project well in the box and showed good overall feel for the barrel. Good Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
