2024 PG Underclass All-American Games
Jose Partida is a 2027 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends La Jolla Country Day. Tall, athletic frame with long levers. Primary left-handed pitcher, belt high leg lift to balance and simple drop and drive lower half mechanics. Creates good extension down the slope and has a looseness to the arm working to a three-quarters slot. Fastball showed excellent life in the mid-80s, running it up to 89 mph (2214 RPM). Turned over a quality changeup to right-handed hitters with fading action, up to 77 mph (1371 RPM) and also showed confidence in the slider, up to 74 mph (1972 RPM). Secondary first baseman, bounces off the bag well with fundamental footwork, clean funnel with obvious arm strength across the diamond, recorded throws up to 87 mph. Showed similar arm strength in the outfield as well, recording throws up to 91 mph. Left-handed hitter, wide base with a high back elbow, toe tap trigger, leverages the barrel well with strength to the pull-side. Middle of the field approach. Great student. Named to 2024 PG Underclass All-American Games Top Prospect List.
