Kellen Martinez is a 2023 C/1B with a 6-3 200 lb. frame from Sacramento, CA who attends Christian Brothers. Large frame with a physical build throughout. Ran a 7.70 second 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, has an active lower half in his setup, takes some time to get it out of the glove in transfers but gains good ground into his throws with some carry out of the hand when in sync with the lower half. Left-handed hitter, loads deep and coils some in his setup; shows good looseness in his wrists and fires his weight well into impact with flashes of good strength when he was able to get the barrel out and drive the ball to the pull side. Great student.
