Wade Hensley is a 2023 LHP/OF with a 6-2 205 lb. frame from Pikeville, KY who attends Pikeville. Strong athletic build. High 3/4's arm stroke on the mound, creates good angle to the plate, good direction through release, has some energy to his delivery but repeats well from the wind up, still working on consistency with his arm timing out of the stretch. Fastball worked in the low 80's, topped out at 82 mph, maintained his velocity very well, gets some glove side cutting action at times. Gets over his curveball well with some downer depth. Threw a couple of nice change ups when he maintained his arm speed. Young left hander with a definite chance to keep improving. 6.96 runner in the sixty, showed his arm strength well from the outfield. Left handed hitter, has a rotational upper body swing, barrel is pretty short through the zone, has some pull power at times, can use his strong lower 1/2 more to help create bat speed. Very good student.
