Jackson McDonald is a 2028 1B/OF with a 6-1 205 lb. frame from Lenexa, KS who attends St. Thomas Aquinas. Features a taller/physical build with noticeable strength throughout. Ran a 7.38 60-yd dash. In the OF, showed a methodical approach. Waits back a bit to start but gets around and through it with avg. quickness. Clean reception out front with some slight regather and a glove tap before release. Arm showed avg. strength for his level and got off 1-3 hop accurate throws to the bag. At 1B, fielded everything clean but in a taller/stiff fielding position. Quality outside turn on DPs where he got off accurate throws and showed better quickness to release than in the OF. At the plate, showed legit bat speed and impact. Stands relaxed at the plate with loose hands. Some rhythm to the load where he engages with his backside and uses a simple stride. Hands/barrel takeback into a slight armbar creating quality separation at launch. Barrel path worked more level through with a lower one-hand finish. Produced a ton of hard LDs into the gaps that showed off his advanced power which translated in-game with several barrels including a shot over the CF's head for standup triple.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
