Josh Horvath is a 2026 RHP/OF with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Round Rock, TX who attends Round Rock. Features a taller and projectable build with present lean athleticism and strength. Ran a 6.57 60-yd dash. In the OF, showed aggressive actions. Light/quick feet worked to and through the baseball well creating momentum into throws. Worked into throws quickly with a full/loose arm that showed plus strength, pulling down throws on a line with carry to the bag. At the plate, he sits in a balanced/athletic stance. Foot gets down early with minimal movement to the hands. Hands/hips fire hard and fast throwing a flatter barrel to the baseball with above average bat speed. Produced several hard line drives to the pullside during his round. Showed his best upside on the mound where he was dominant during his gameplay outing. Showed a balanced and athletic operation down the mound. Works linear down the slope with length and pace as well. Arm takes a medium path out the glove and works loose/quick to a higher 3/4 slot with easy plus armspeed. Ran the FB into the low 90s, T93 with strong control of it, tons of strikes and it exhibited normal 4S shape producing plenty of late in-zone whiffs. Mixed in an upper 70s slider with standard shape and lower spin traits and a mid 80s changeup with quality depth. Excellent student. Named to the National Underclass Main Event Showcase Top Prospect List.
