Josiah Romero is a 2026 2B/RHP with a 5-7 140 lb. frame from Odessa, TX who attends Permian. Medium build. Ran the sixty yard dash in 8.50 seconds. A primary 2B, he showed soft hands fielding grounders to both sides of his body. Showed fundamentally sound footwork when approaching balls as well. His top throw across the diamond was clocked at 65 mph. On the offensive side of the baseball he did a nice job of getting his lower half involved with his swing. Was able to get extended out front on a consistent basis. On the mound he throws from a high 3/4 arm slot and his FB topped out at 69 mph with tailing action to it. His CB had 11/5 shape with depth while his CH showed late fading action.
