KC Fall Softball Scouting Combine Morning Session
Chloe Clossen is a 5'8, class of 2025 1B/OF from Lawrence, KS who attends Lawrence Free State HS. Chloe is an up and coming player who shows promising ability at two positions and a steady approach to hitting. A primary 1B, Chloe shows consistent actions around the bag. She positions well and her glove work is steady. She transitions well and her 48-mph throws are routinely on target. With continued growth and experience, Chloe's game around first base will continue to improve. Sound fundamental foundation! She also took a turn in the OF. Her emerging athleticism was evident here. She has a measured but certain approach to positioning. Her height and long levers play positively here. Her glove plays well. She has a steady transition and her 49-mph throws hold their plane and are routinely accurate. At the plate, this RHH shows a sound ability to bunt. She has a plus swing operation. As she gains strength during her next few years in HS and travel ball her sound swing mechanics will certainly enable her to become a plus hitter with gap-to-gap pop. She should also be able to power the softball. Her swing mechanics are really good now and will only continue to get better. Promising! Chloe has the right idea about her entire approach, both defensively and at the plate. Should she continue to work at her craft, she will unquestionably grow into a plus college prospect.
