Ryan Tomey is a 2026 OF/RHP, 2B, 3B with a 5-8 127 lb. frame from Scottsdale, AZ who attends Horizon. In the outfield, he showed the ability to secure balls cleanly with short arm action and developing carry, in the infield the actions are good working around the ball well and will develop more carry as he strengthens. In batting practice, he showed feel to find barrels with strong hands and good direction, again as he strengthens the tools will come more into play. During his outing we saw Ryan work exclusively out of the stretch with a short stride down the mound to match a short arm action and three-quarter slot. Flashed some arm speed with the fastball that sat between 67 and 70 mph with slight cutting action. He throw strikes often gets ahead of hitters regularly and then dropping a curveball late that sat between 57 and 61 mph with short downward action. The offering creates enough bite to miss bats and supremely confident in the pitch.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
