2024 New York Indoor Showcase (Sunday)
Conor Mullin is a 2027 C/RHP/3B/UT with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Congers, NY who attends Clarkstown North Senior. Mullin worked from a range of defensive spots during his event, starting behind the plate showcasing a slight side saddle set with quick compact actions displayed. He consistently produced a direct mid-line transfer with throws placed around the bag, posting a 2.05 pop time. Soft hands present to receive with additional arm strength expected to develop in the future. From the IF, showcased upside with flashes of lateral range to both sides. Topped out at 74 mph across the diamond. Can work on attacking the baseball with a quicker first step and carrying momentum through release. On the mound, repeated the operation well releasing from an over the top slot up to 75 mph. Simplified the movements in the delivery and consistently located to all four quadrants of the zone. Developing spin profile in the arsenal. Offensively, the switch hitter started from the right side flashing a bigger leg lift trigger to produce line drive impact back up the middle of the field. Some room to create additional barrel extension but generated consistent contact. From the left side, attempted to create lift in the bat path with strength present in the hands. Posted an exit velo of 80 mph. Good student.
