Marcel Ruiz is a 2025 C/3B with a 5-8 175 lb. frame from Caguas, PR who attends BYOU Academy. Short thick frame. Behind the plate, he sets up in a high offset crouch. Good midline transfer with average arm strength to the accurate throws down. 2.18 pop time. On the mound, in a brief outing he worked with standard kick from a stretch only operation. Short arm action with high three-quarters. Fastball peppered the lower portion. Right-handed hitter, sets up with an even base. The swing is short to impact and repeated well. There's quality launch quickness and approach is line drive oriented through thr middle of the field. 7.55 60-yard. Excellent student.
