Gavin Edwards is a 2027 SS/RHP, 2B, MIF with a 5-11 140 lb. frame from Puyallup, WA who attends Emerald Ridge. Primary middle infielder, featuring a longer, lean, athletic frame with room to add. Good set up in the dirt with quick feet and present lateral range. Feel for the pocket with a compact exchange and quick arm across throwing out of a three-quarter arm slot with short arm action. Does a nice job working the feet through the play towards the target. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a fastball, curveball mix. Standard side step delivery with a belt high leg lift and a clean operation down the mound. Throws out of a three-quarter arm slot with medium arm action. Breaking ball has 11-5 shape with late depth. Stays around the zone, locating in all-four quadrants efficiently. Medium base at the plate with a high back elbow. Short stride to contact with a compact swing and a level barrel path. Stays balanced and keeps everything on a line with an easy, repeatable swing and an up the middle approach. Ran a 7.66 sixty yard dash. Very good student.
