Arvis Latting is a 2023 2B/RHP with a 5-10 136 lb. frame from Memphis, TN who attends Whitehaven. Slender young build with lots of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, hits from an upright open stance, line drive swing plane with a high contact middle of the field approach, bat speed will continue to improve with additional strength and physical maturity. 7.47 runner in the sixty. Second base tools and actions on defense, has a short and compact arm action, best actions going to his left, tends to straight up to throw. Also pitched, has low effort turn and throw mechanics with a short stride out front, mid 3/4's to low 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 72 mph with some cutting action on it at times, threw mostly fastballs with an occasional soft sweeping curveball. Good student.
