Tanner Grove is a 2025 1B/LHP, OF with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Lodi, CA who attends St Mary's Stockton. Features a medium build with some strength. Ran an 8.23 60-yard. Showed solid defensive actions throughout first base workouts. Caught the ball cleanly often. Moves fairly well in both directions. Produce accurate throws with solid carry. Utilizes a wide base setup in the box. Simple, single step load with slight barrel hitch. Bat path has natural loft within. Approach is geared toward the pullside. Flashed the ability to go the other way. Also performed well on the mound. Uses a slight drop and rive delivery with low effort throughout. A crossfire landing creates deception. Short arm action out of a low 3/4 hides the ball well. Makes it tough on left-handed hitters. The fastball sat 72-77 mph with slight armside run. Has the ability to throw it for strikes often. Movement and arm slot generates some whiffs. Paired with a curveball at 58-61 mph with slurve-like action. Showed confidence in the offering. Will throw early in counts. Has swing and miss potential when thrown with conviction. Solid foundation for two-pitch mix. Excellent student, as well.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
