Jared Eckstein is a 2023 RHP/1B with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Cincinnati, OH who attends Elder. Large frame with physical build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.92 seconds. Primary righthanded pitcher, gets into back hip well and loads deep, rides slope downhill, stiffer over front side with some effort, fastball worked 82-85 mph, flashed good tilt to curveball, has feel for changeup. Developing control/command. Hits from narrow/staggered set with low back elbow, good bat speed on flatter plane, launches clean, gets barrel out and can impact, drove the ball in BP and in game. Clean feet at 1B defensively, moves well and shows soft hands out front, athletic on turns. Very good student, named to 2021 Ohio Valley Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
