Aidan Dillon is a 2027 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-0 164 lb. frame from Tinley Park, IL, who attends Brother Rice. A taller frame with length throughout an athletic build. Has some length to the frame. Ran a 7.65 60-yard dash. A primary left-handed pitcher who worked from the wind-up with a sidestepping leg lift up above the bet. He strides well down the mound, with a clean takeaway and fluid arm path through a three-quarters release. It's an athletic delivery overall, with a feel for his movements on the mound. The fastball worked up to 79 mph, and he projects to have plenty more in the tank. Fastball had some arm-side life in that arm-side third of the zone. He flipped a 2-7 shaped breaker up to 69 mph, with sharper movement and a healthy shape to it. He could land the breaker for strikes. Flashed a changeup with a natural tumble to it, killing spin. He worked with pace to his actions and was exceptional in his outing on the mound. Projectable stuff throwing all three pitches for strikes. Mixed the three and got it done. He's a left-handed hitter with a relaxed setup in the batters' box. He keeps an upright stance with the weight favoring his backside, a lower back elbow, but higher hands. He uses a smaller stride for timing and was able to find the barrel out front, rotating through it. Produced an 81 mph exit velocity during PG Tech testing. Also worked out in the outfield, coming through the motion well with a longer shuffle into his release. He threw from a lower, three-quarters release. He fielded the ball off to the side after a good build-up working to it. Threw 80 mph from the outfield. Also worked out at first base, with good footwork and a clue for the actions around the bag. He had clean feeds, throwing 77 mph to second base with good accuracy. Exceptional student. Named to 2024 Chicago Indoor Showcase TP List.
