Kendall Woods is a 5'7, class of 2023, SS/OF from Des Moines, IA who attends Southeast Polk HS. Kendall is an athletic, upper class veteran player who has a sound approach to her overall game. She is a solid defender at multiple positions and can swing the bat well. She ran a 3.24 20-yard dash with a 1.17 5-yard split. A primary infielder, Kendall's athleticism is really apparent. She has quick feet and positions quickly and efficiently. Her glovework is smooth and easy and she transitions well. She has a sure throwing action and her 55-mph throws are firm and true. Plus actions on the dirt. Kendall also took a turn in the outfield. Her athleticism allows her to position quickly. she fields with two hands, out front, like an IF, but this works for her. She has a remarkably quick transition. Her 58-mph throws are really sound and routinely accurate. At the plate, this RHH hitter, like most senior players, has plus feel for the bunt game. She is balanced and fairly even at the ready. She has a flatter bat path and a solid feel for the barrel. She can impact the ball. There is a hint of power there and that could come down the road, but her contact game is strong. Solid round. Kendall has a solid, over all game. She is going to help a college program, somewhere, if she so chooses. She is fundamentally sound and her actions are certain. Solid college prospect!
