Jonah Shackford is a 2025 RHP/LHP/IF with a 5-6 125 lb. frame from Berlin, CT who attends Berlin. Young, square shouldered frame with a lean build and plenty of room to grow and develop physically moving forward. Ran a 7.53 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, works exclusively out of the stretch, high leg lift up past belt and gets tall on backside, does a really nice job of generating extension coming down the mound; long arm action through the back working to a three-quarters release point. Has some present arm speed, lands online, fastball topped out at 70 mph with subtle cut action and able to induce weak contact. Mixed a short 11-5 shaped curveball up to 59 mph, worked around the zone with both pitches. Active footwork in the infield, hands play nicely out front at the ball, multiple slots and best when working from a lower one, shorter strides but works behind the ball, accurate throws. Right-handed hitter, begins with a spread stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; long swing path through the zone, swings with intent. Utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing, can incorporate additional weight shift moving into contact, simple swing, best contact to the middle and opposite parts of the field, executes game plan and projects with added strength.
