Cole Fenton is a 2024 RHP/3B with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Hammonton, NJ who attends The Pilgrim Academy. Recorded a 7.49 second sixty-yard dash time. Medium frame with long levers and plenty of room to add strength and physically mature. Primary right-handed pitcher that works from a full windup delivery. Incorporates slightly hip coil into balance, while using drop-and-drive lower half movements down the slope. Displayed high front lever and slightly segmented arm action to create some deception. Fastball worked in the low-80s for most of his outing, flashing some sinking action to it from a lower three-quarters arm slot. Strike thrower that pounded the outer half with his fastball consistently and mixed in a developing breaking ball that showed loose spin profile and promise when thrown with conviction. Plenty of upside remaining on the mound as he continues to mature. Secondary infielder with a developing defensive skill set; displayed short, choppy footwork into the fielding process and bends slightly at the wait to field. Showed some lateral range to either side and the ability to change arm angles on the run. Recorded arm strength up to 80 mph across the diamond during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from an even base with exaggerated high hand set, high back elbow and toe-tap trigger. Incorporates rotational lower half mechanics to get going, while using a slightly downhill swing path to get to contact. Displayed pullside approach with developing bat-to-ball skills and occasional line drive impact to that side when on-time. Will continue to develop with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Developing overall skill set with legitimate upside on the mound. Excellent Student.
